Yard 37's legal structure includes shared ownership of infrastructure

Community

The development of Yard 37 has focused on building an environment where complementary businesses work side by side and thrive - as individual organisations, as a marine community, and as an industry. As a result, Yard 37 has a unique legal structure that includes shared ownership of communal areas and infrastructure, as well as freehold ownership of individual land lots.

Legal Structure

The Yard 37 Precinct Society will own and manage the communal areas of Yard 37, including the common yard space, the travelift and shiplift. The Society will be responsible for ensuring the accessibility of shared infrastructure to precinct occupants. It will also assess the ongoing viability of hiring out the infrastructure to external parties as a means of minimising ongoing operating and development costs to Yard 37's core occupants.A further aim of the Society will be to promote idea-sharing and collaboration between oncompeting occupants. The innovation and product advances that will result will ensure that Yard 37 becomes, and remains, the best place in the world to create the world?s best superyachts.

Freehold Ownership

Building occupants will own the freehold unit titles for their building footprint(s).

Sustainability

Yard 37's developers have mitigated adverse environmental effects and assured compliance with all environmental legislative requirements throughout the planning process. There is strong integration with the surrounding residential area to ensure that the work environment remains attractive and accessible to those who have resided in the area for many years.
