Yard 37 offers 20ha (50 acres) of prime marine real estate. It will provide to up to 84,000m2 of marine shed space; 13,600m2 of mixed-use space; 62,000m2 of hardstand area and accommodate superyachts up to 90m in length.

Access

Yard 37 is 23km from Auckland CBD and is close to State Highway 1, New Zealand's main arterial route.  There is direct, deep water access (5.5m) to the Pacific Ocean via Auckland's Waitemata Harbour

Infrastructure

Marine Infrastructure at Yard 37 will be built on a staged basis and will incorporate world leading technology, current plans incorporate:

1,000T Shiplift: A 1,000T shiplift and a multiwheel trailer system will be commissioned for the launch and retrieval of the largest superyachts at yard 37.
Shiplift capacity: length 90m; beam 18m; weight 1,000T

Travel Lift: Opportunity exists for the provision of a Travel Lift at Yard 37, which could operate in tandem with the 1000T Shiplift. Capacity to be confirmed.

Paint Shed: Provision exists for the development of a world leading paint shed on site which will provide added capability for Yard 37 occupants to compete in the global superyacht market.
Paint Shed capacity: length 90m; width 20m-35m; height 35m

Site Infrastructure

  • Fully serviced site meeting leading environmental standards
  • Power, water and stormwater facilities have been designed for major industrial users
  • Reticulated fibre network provides high-capacity telecommunication, broadband and data facilities to the site
  • All power reticulation is underground
  • Roading system design will handle superyachts 18m in width and up to 1,000T in weight
